• Develop and maintain a website engine by implementing new features and fixing bugs;
• Develop and maintain website components utilizing this engine by building the website on top of it;
• Understand existing infrastructure and system design;
• Design and understand abstract processes and convert them into complex finite state machines;
• Outline possible design and/or implementation glitches in the current implementations based on the overall project understanding;
• Design software and draft technical documents even based on a present code base.
Requirements:
• very good experience with PHP 4;
• experience with multi-layer websites (total abstraction from database, logic, protection, gui);
• very fast understanding of existing code, mentality and its glitches;
• good understanding of state machines and possible extensions like variables;
• read/write html and smarty templates like a natural language;
• excellent skills in object orientated programming techniques;
• very good understanding of databases and generally sql (mysql 5);
• experiences with technologies like soap and its usage in multi-tier environments;
• ability to create system documentation (also based current implementations).
