A consulting company is looking for a knowledgeable, dependable firm to develop a site. Essentially, we make reports and need to be able to upload informaiton on several companies to a webpage. We need to be able to enter in information about the documents/companies we upload so that our clients can filter results (we will have several thousand companies in our database). To summarize, we will need a site with the following features:
Developed Site Administration- as previously stated, the administrators need an upload system with a form that details certain characteristics about the files that are being uploaded so that users can sort companies via the information on the forms our administrators fill out (geographic location of the company, it's size, etc.)
Database Construction- This was described in the last paragraph. Besides the information from user profiles, the database needs only to store information our administrators type into the upload form (file tagging)
Data retrieval- Clients should be able to sort company files on the basis of the information in the forms. We also need a basic search feature so that users can search for companies by name.
Secure User Passwords/Profiles- we will need a SECURE login system. Moreover, our site administration should display our site users and allow us to modify/delete information in these profiles. (The user profiles will be fairly simple).
Payment processing- We will need to be able to accept payments for subscriptions for access to our files. This should be simple since you will be merely integrating an existing payment processing gateway in an attractive way (paypal, or whatever).
Interactive map- We want users to be able to click on various points in a map and view companies in the geographic area (at the least, they should be able to scroll over different areas and have city names pop up- they should be able to zoom in as well). This should not be difficult since you can integrate google maps.
Icon design- Each company will have sevearl information files on it. Users, after clicking on the icon for these files, should be able to download them.
Graphic/layout design- This is professional site, so graphic design should not be an intensive process, but the site must nonetheless be visually attractive and efficiently designed.
Do not reply to this project unless you understand all the details. We expect all bids to contain a developed project timeline, a description of work with similar projects, and suggestions/solutions. Also include hours during which we would be able to work with you- for obvious reasons troubleshooting is a crucial part of site development, we need to make sure you will be there to help us.

users to upload videos. The videos should auto load and auto run with ability to pause, rewind etc. just like youtube videos. Anyone can upload any video in any format and it will be converted to run in the player so they all run the same way. Basically this part is like how youtube videos work.
