Hi,
We search a PHP-programmer who can integrate the features from http://www.phpfox.com/features (Open Source - Community Building Script) in an existing Open Source directory script.
! When you know other Community Building software very well, it´s an option to use that in place of PHPfox.
Basic idea is that the two programs stay as maximum as possible independent but that the data publishing from the features who now are published in PHPfox (the presentations/design are not really great) will be published in HTML-pages from the directory script. It´s a question of linking the two script functionalities and avoiding to change to much on the programs, than also we can profit from updates, extra´s that will be build for the directory or PHPfox script in the future.
Also some modifications in the directory script have to be done.
The PHP-work and the design-work can be split-up. When you can program well, but are not really a design wizard, no problem. Usability is verry important but of course also the programming.
