I need to create a web based (internet accessed) program that will manage my ever growing database of customers. This needs to be able to access a MySQL database ( in fact needs to be able to direct to any chosen databse) and store merge and remove emails and other product and customers information both by my/admin acces through a user and password area and also be integrated into automation in any email marketing campaign and through our websites I use. I have basic understanding of PHP and MySQL so would like it done this way, it is something I intend to integrate this to save data automatically from many of my webistes and ordering pages in future so would need this ability to be built in and the supply of scripts/information on how this is to be done.
I would like the mailing facility to allow me to design text and HTML emails within the package and choose to merge any of the database fields into the email as i choose (drop down list perhaps).
It would be great if data could be uploaded to the databse in bulk in someway using CSV files or similar. As this is a package being used by me and my staff it is more important to concetrate on the funcionality and ease of use rather than it looking good (although that is good too!)
I dont mind if this is an adaptation of an existing script or set of of scripts but it must be understood that I intend to use this widely and possible sell/rent the system to other users in the future.
